2026 PADDLE EUROPE OCEAN RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Brest, FRA, 24.8.2026 - 30.8.2026

2026 PADDLE EUROPE OCEAN RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS 24.8.2026
The 2026 Paddle Europe Ocean Racing Championships will take place from 24 to 30 August 2026 in Brest, bringing together Europe’s top ocean racing athletes in one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing canoeing disciplines.
Set along the exposed Atlantic coastline of Brittany, the championships will challenge athletes in true ocean conditions, where wind, waves, and navigation play a decisive role. Competitors will race primarily in surfski and ocean racing craft, testing not only physical endurance but also the ability to read and adapt to constantly changing sea conditions — a defining feature of the discipline.
As ocean racing continues to expand across Europe, this event represents a key moment in the development of the discipline, attracting a strong international field and reinforcing its position within the Paddle Europe programme. The championships aim to deliver high-level competition in a unique maritime environment, combining sporting excellence with the distinctive atmosphere of ocean paddling.
Hosted by experienced local organisers in a region with strong maritime tradition, the event will offer athletes and teams a memorable championship experience, where performance, strategy, and connection with the ocean define the competition.
