2026 PADDLE EUROPE MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIPS 21.6.2026
The 2026 Paddle Europe Marathon Championships will take place from 21 to 28 June 2026 at the Bascov–Budeasa Regatta Course, in Pitești–Bascov, Romania. The event will bring together Europe’s top canoe marathon athletes to compete at the highest level in one of Eastern Europe’s leading canoeing venues.
Located in the Argeș River Valley, the regatta course offers excellent racing conditions, combining calm waters with a well-established infrastructure that has hosted numerous international competitions. The championships will test athletes’ endurance, race strategy, and portage skills across demanding marathon courses.
Organised by the Romanian Canoe Federation in cooperation with national and local authorities, the event aims to deliver a high-quality competition focused on fair play, safety, and sporting excellence. Alongside the races, participants will experience the welcoming atmosphere, cultural richness, and hospitality of the Pitești region, making the championships both a top-level sporting event and a memorable international gathering.
