Twenty-One More Athletes Secure Places in Paracanoe Finals 12.6.2026
The second day of the 2026 Paddle Europe Sprint, Paracanoe and Masters European Championships featured seven paracanoe semifinal races, with 21 athletes securing their places in the finals.

Among them was Great Britain's Jack Eyers, a Paralympic, World Championship and European Championship medallist, who posted the fastest semifinal time in the men's VL3 200 event. He advanced to the final alongside Spain's Axel Celmanti and Poland's Robert Wydera.
In the men's VL2 200 event semifinal, Great Britain's Xander Van Der Poll was the fastest, covering the 200-metre course in 54.869. Czechia's Miroslav Sperk and Hungary's Robert Suba also progressed to the final after finishing second and third. Italy's Marius Ciustea, the 2018 European champion, missed out on the final.
In the women's VL3 200 event, Spain's Maria Jimenez, Germany's Anja Adler and Ukraine's Svitlana Bohuslavska secured their places in the final.
The afternoon session then featured the parakayak semifinals. In the women's KL2 200 event, Poland's Anna Bilovol and Spain's Carlota Blanca and Ines Felipe joined the directly qualified athletes from the heats in the final. In the women's KL3 200 event, Hungary's Nikoletta Molnar, Great Britain's Lindsay Thorpe and Germany's Claudia Fischer advanced to the medal race.
Two men's KL semifinals were also contested. In the men's KL2 200 event, Spain's Jose Pineiro and Ricardo Junquera, together with Sweden's Jacob Carlsson, progressed to the final. In the men's KL3 200 event, Great Britain's Jon Tarrant and Ukraine's Andrii Syvykh and Oleksandr Nedashkovskyi secured the remaining final berths.
