Hosted at Base Natur’O, in the heart of Épinal, the Championships will take place on a technical whitewater course where precision, speed and tactical execution will be key. The event will once again give Junior and Under 23 athletes the opportunity to compete at European level and take an important step in their pathway towards senior international competition.
The 2025 edition in Solkan showed the strength and depth of European canoe slalom, with nations such as Czechia, France and Germany among the leading countries across individual, team and kayak cross events. Spain, Slovenia, Slovakia, Italy, Great Britain and Poland also featured strongly on the podiums, confirming the competitive balance across Europe.
With some athletes moving into new age categories in 2026, Épinal will open a new chapter for the next generation of European slalom talent. From 5 to 9 August, all eyes will be on France as the future stars of canoe slalom return to the Paddle Europe stage.
